DISABILITY AND STRENGTH
The theme of this years Eleanor Worthington Prize is DISABILITY AND STRENGTH. Participation is open to students of Art Schools at tertiary level in the UK, Italy, and Ireland.
The prize giving event takes place in Urbino, Italy, and a zoom connection will be available between York St John University and Urbino.
The presenter in York St John University will be Helen Turner, Associate Head of Art. A representative of the York Human Rights City Network will be among the speakers.
The Prize aims at raising awareness of disabilities.
It promotes reflection on social inclusion, using the language of the visual arts.
The Prize is in memory of Eleanor, a severely disabled Anglo-Italian young person, who despite her many difficulties always maintained a great joy in life.
There will be a BSL interpreter based at York St John University for this event.
